Protection agains loud noise is the most important protection.  Swim plugs, musician’s earplugs, and hunter’s earplugs are the most common types of noise protection that we provide.

Solid Noise Plugs

These are simple, solid plugs that are custom made and can have handles or cords.  They are reusable, often for several years, with proper care.  While cutting down the noise, they also cut down some of the ability to hear speech.

Noise Protection - Shooter's Plugs
Protecting your hearing doesn’t always mean plugging up your ears so you can’t hear anything.  Filtered earplugs are perfect for hunters and construction workers because they allow you to hear most sounds normally but clamp down when a loud sounds occurs, protecting your hearing.

Filtered Earplugs                                                                                                           Musician’s earplugs are also filtered but allow a softening of all sounds evenly.  Regular noise protection earplugs cut the high frequencies more than the lows, changing the sound quality of the music.  With Musician’s filters, you can have a softening of sounds evenly across frequencies.  You can choose a filter that is more attenuating or less attenuating, depending on your instrument or music style.   Musicians and live music lovers love these items. Those that work in noisy environments but still need to converse with others, e.g. Dentists, Contractors, also benefit from these filtered earplugs.

Custom cell phone earpieces are also popular. They are not only more comfortable, but make it easier to hear by blocking out some of the road noise.  In the same category are custom earpieces for iPods and other music devices.

Swimmolds provide protection against water getting into the ears while swimming and bathing.   We make both in-office and custom ones, primarily for children with P.E. tubes in their ears.
